Avanish Sharma
Avanish Sharma is the Founder & CEO of Japyara. He is building Japyara with a simple belief: timeless traditions flourish when they are supported by thoughtfully designed systems.
Growing up in a Sanatan family in Bihar, and later living in Lucknow, Pune, Mumbai and Dubai, he experienced how faith remains constant while everyday life continues to evolve. That journey inspired him to build Bharat’s first daily ritual system for the Sanatan home—bringing together authentic ritual essentials, trusted sourcing, subscription-led continuity and guided experiences into one integrated ecosystem.
Over the past 26 years, Avanish has helped build businesses and institutions from startup to scale across financial markets, technology and consumer services. His career began during the launch of Bharat’s stock derivatives market in 2000. He later joined the founding team that established the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX), followed by leadership roles in building the Middle East operations of one of the world’s largest commodities derivatives brokers.
As an entrepreneur, he went on to build a destination management company in Dubai, creating a pan-Bharat holidays ecosystem that partnered with more than 18,000 travel agents, served over 100,000 travellers, and built trusted relationships between Indian consumers and travel service providers across the world.
Across every venture, one lesson has remained constant:
